CartoGenius is developed and operated by K2 Development ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
Game data
Your scores, selected category, difficulty level, and game timestamps. This data is stored in our database and displayed on the global leaderboard.
Anonymous user identifier
When you first open CartoGenius, we automatically assign you an anonymous user ID via Firebase Authentication. This ID is used to associate your scores with your account without requiring you to register or log in. It is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal identifier unless you choose to Sign in with Apple.
Device and usage data
Firebase may collect basic device information (device type, operating system version) and app usage data to support app functionality and stability. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:
| Provider | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Authentication, leaderboard database | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | revenuecat.com/privacy |
| Apple | Payment processing, Sign in with Apple | apple.com/privacy |
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.
To request deletion of your data, contact us at privacy@k2dev.xyz. We will delete your account and associated scores within 30 days.
CartoGenius is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only personal information we collect is a player name chosen by the user — we recommend parents choose an appropriate name for younger players. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at privacy@k2dev.xyz.
We use Firebase's security infrastructure to store your data. Firestore security rules restrict access so that user data can only be read or written by authenticated sessions. We do not store payment information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
